Videowebwizard - Easy to Use Video Software
You know it wasn't more than a few years ago that video on the internet was basically in the infancy stage. Now video sites such as YouTube have become so popular that Google bought YouTube for something like $1.6 billion. If you haven't yet got on the video bandwagon, now is a great time to start for a number of reasons.
Quick and Easy
For the most part, putting video on your website or any video site was time consuming and too complicated for most people. Yea, I'm kinda of a klutz when it comes to technical things, but I'm also lazy.
A new video software package has made this task much easier. I honestly thought this would be challenging but it much easier than I thought.
The video software does 90% of the work for you. All that is required of you is to shoot your video with a webcam, camcorder, cell phone, or camera and copy and paste
Quality Videos
After compressing the video files, the quality of the videos remain well above average. The software converts your video files to flash for website viewing ease. No special skills or equipment needed. Just the way most of us like it.
For the more technically minded, the software converts all popular video formats and a few, even, that most comparable software programs will not support. V2F supports AVI, WMV, MOV, MPG, FLV, VOB, ASF, and MP4 video formats.
This just means that the software will convert these file formats for you. (thank goodness) Most videos on the internet today are converted to FLV or Flash video.
Video Player Options
The video software includes many design options for your player as well. A variety of player styles and skins are available for your choosing.
The software also has a number of options for marketers as well. For example, you can redirect people to a website of your choice when they are finished viewing your video. A sign up page, sales page , or any offer you choose.
Simple but advanced, and takes less than 10 minutes to put your video on the net. Follow the links below and start putting videos on your website.

My Zoom is Bigger Than Your Zoom - How to Use Zoom to Create Internet Video
Remember the War between the States, the Trojan War, remember the Alamo? Now, those were real wars. However, we camcorder and video people have our own wars and battles as well.
How about the VHS versus Beta wars? Three chip versus one chip? VHS versus 8mm? S-Video versus regular video? Color viewfinders versus black&white? How about the new Digital Video battle?
But, have you heard about the zoom wars? Camcorder manufacturers are battling to see who can offer the biggest and most powerful zooms on their cameras.
I remember many years ago that if you had a 6x zoom, you were pretty hot stuff. Slowly the zoom ratios crept up to 8x, 10x and 12x. (I have always wondered why zoom numbers always ended in even numbers?)
For many years, the 12x zoom plateau was were most camcorders lived. There is a good reason for that. Even with the best image stabilization and expert camcorder holding technique, it is quite difficult to handhold a close-up of an image steady at the maximum 12x zoom.
Recently, the zoom wars have intensified. The numbers are once again starting to creep up. Companies like Canon, Hitachi and Samsung are marketing camcorders with 40x optical zoom or more. There is no way to hold it steady with just your hands.
Adding fuel to the fire is digital zoom. Recently, I have seen digital zoom numbers as high as 1000x! This is marketing hype. Its all BS. Unless you really, really have to, you never want to use digital zoom.
If you have used digital or electronic zooms, you probably realize that all digital zoom does is to magnify the image and make the middle larger. Any distortion or electronic noise gets amplified as well. The pixels of color and light that make up the image get bigger as well. As the digital zoom ratio increases, the image you see consists of fewer and fewer pixels, with each pixel just a lot larger. Eventually, all you get is pixels and you can't even recognize what you are aiming at.
Most camcorders offer three options for digital zoom. You can leave it totally off, you can go to the first level or detent, or you can maximize it. I personally prefer to usually max out my digital zoom at the first level. If you need to capture your images at the best quality, leave digital zoom off and just walk a bit closer! The closer you get, the better it will look.
By the way, there is no limit to digital or electronic zoom. As it is an electronic function, manufacturers can easily set it to what ever range they want. A camcorder manufacturer could offer 1000x digital zoom or more.
The secret of evaluating the quality of a digital zoom is the level of optical zoom it is based upon. For example, 100x digital zoom from a camera that offers 10x optical zoom means that the electronic image has been blown up 10 times. On the other hand, a 100x digital zoom on a camcorder with an optical zoom of 20x, only needs to blow up the image by five times. Hence the image generated by the camcorder with the 20x optical zoom will look a lot better than the image generated by the camcorder with only a 10x optical zoom.
The bottom line: Ignore Digital Zoom Numbers!
Yes, there are a few technology workarounds that can help improve the image, but in general, the greater the optical zoom, the better the image will look after digital enlargement.
Adding to this quality conundrum is digital image stabilization versus optical image stabilization. As mentioned earlier, it is quite difficult to hold an image steady at 20x. With today's small camcorders, I find it difficult to handhold an image steady at just 6x or so. That is why image stabilization is so important. If you are not going to be using a tripod for your extended zoom shots, image stabilization can be a lifesaver.
The first image stabilization technologies were sort of funky and didn't work well. You'd notice a freeze frame effect at times as the stabilizing circuitry tried to figure out just what image it should be holding steady, Over the last decade, image stabilization has made great moves forward. There are two types of image stabilization, optical and electronic/digital. (Some companies call it digital, some call it electronic - it is basically the same) Both optical and electronic/digital use electronic technology but optical is based more on mechanical means and digital is based on electronic technologies.
Digital and electronic image stabilization, like electronic zoom, can degrade an image whereas optical image stabilization, like optical zoom, is a mechanical technology that has minimal effect on image quality. Most electronic/digital image stabilization technologies generate about 5% image degradation as they enlarge the center part of an image. The technology is still getting better. On some of the most recent camcorders you might not notice any difference when you turn on Image Stabilization versus when it is off.
A good hint is if the camcorder's instructions recommend turning off electronic or digital image stabilization when you are using the camcorder on a tripod. The best quality images are generated by optical zoom combined with optical image stabilization. If you know in advance you are going to need to use large zoom ratios, digital or optical, use a tripod. That way, once you have your camcorder firmly locked down, you don't need image stabilization and can turn it off.
Telephoto Lens Filters
Various manufacturers offer telephoto adapters that can be screwed onto the front of your lens and will optically increase the telephoto length. A 1.5x adapter lens will increase the overall zoom by 50%. You will still have the same ratio of 12 to 1 but everything will be 50% larger. Look at the front of your camcorder lens. Is there a set of lens threads that will enable you to screw on an accessory lens? Note what width lens you have. Most camcorders are in the 30 to 50mm range.
Telephoto adapters are not all the same. Sometimes they don't fit quite right and when you zoom out to maximum wide angle you may see the sides of the adapter ring. Quality is also an issue. Whenever you add another lens between your subject and the camera, you end up degrading the image, however slight. The cheapest lenses are made of plastic and may unacceptably distort your image. Better lens are made from glass. However, a good glass telephoto adapter may cost more than your camcorder! I recommend taking your camcorder with you and trying different adapters and see what the image looks like. And, if you don't have one already, buy a good tripod while you are at the photo store.
To Zoom or Not to Zoom
While we are on the subject of zooming, lets discuss the how and why of zooming. In my classes, I always stress that zooming is a crutch to be avoided. It is much better to physically pick up your camcorder and tripod and simply get closer to the subject.
Video is a medium of close-ups, of tight shots of faces and things. On most home TV sets, watching wide shots of buildings and landscapes doesn't work well. With the advent of wide screen, high definition television this may change, but now is now.
Zooming does more than just make the image larger, it also reduces depth. A wide angle shot appears to have more depth, more of a 3D feel than a corresponding zoomed close-up. Maximum telephoto shots always give you a flat look opposed to the more real wide-angle image
I am sure you remember your first videotaping experience. You popped the tape in, hit record and began making a movie. You started zooming in and zooming out, zoom in - zoom out, it is a phase all first time videographers experience. And then while watching it back on your TV set, you wondered why you got seasick?
Zooming is to be avoided, especially zooming in on objects. I recommend getting a wide shot of an image, hit pause and zoom in to a tight shot, and then re-start recording. We don't need to see the zoom in.
If you want to zoom out from a telephoto shot to a wide angle, try panning and moving the camera as you zoom out. Instead of zooming straight out, try moving the camera left or right as you zoom out to the wide angle. That way you are surprising the viewer - showing new and different parts of the image. By the way, by moving the camcorder, you camouflage jiggling and shaking.
I prefer camcorders with variable speed zooms. Variable speed zoom means the harder you push the zoom lever, the faster the camcorder zooms. Most camcorders provide variable zooms. A fast zoom enables you to follow a fast moving object; a slow zoom enables you to concentrate on a subject while languidly zooming out.
The Zoom Focus Problem
If you insist on zooming in on something, at least try to stay in focus. (Unless you really don't want to) Most camcorders have an acceptable auto focus function that controls focus as you zoom from one object to another. However, your auto focus may be a bit slow, or you may be shooting in situations where it doesn't work well. Shooting in dim light or shooting an object with lots of stripes can be tough on auto focus. Many auto focus circuits also have problems shooting through glass and screens or in shots with lots of foreground objects.
If you have to use manual focus, the secret is to zoom in using your maximum telephoto and focus on the object. Now zoom out to wide angle. As long as the distance between you and the subject doesn't change, you should be able to zoom in and out over and over again, with the image staying in focus the entire time. Of course, if you follow my advice about never zooming in and just zooming out, your images will also be in focus as you pull back from the close-up.
Why not wide angle?
Even as the zoom war ranges, many of my videographer cohorts and I wonder, why not a wide-angle lens battle? Why aren't camcorder manufacturers battling to see who can provide the widest angle?
Using a wide-angle lens enables you to get closer to your subject and show a larger angle of coverage. Remember the joke about the videographer trying to get a shot of his family standing on the rim of the Grand Canyon. He keeps telling them to back up and back up so he get the whole family in the shot? Having a wide-angle lens enables you to capture a bunch of people in a single shot, without having to pan sideways and up and down.
I love wide-angle shots - aside from the deep focus look, it is easier to shot wide angle. You don't have to worry about focus or focal depth. Everything is in focus. I love being able to get within inches of someone's face during an interview. I love the look of using wide angle during tracking shots and the incredible feeling of 3D that it creates. You can create dramatic shots like a close-up of someone's face, in perfect focus in the foreground, while the background panorama of the Grand Canyon is also sharp and in focus. For example, check out the classic film Citizen Kane all the wonderful deep focus, wide angle shots. Wide-angle shots also minimize shaking and jiggle. It is very easy to walk along with someone and videotape while using wide angle. You don't need to use image stabilization. Because the image is so wide and open, the motion of the camera is not as noticeable to the viewer when played back.
I have never seen any camcorders that include true wide angle at the bottom of their zoom lens ratio. The expensive and semi-pro Canon XLI-S includes a wide angle lens that can be used instead of the standard zoom lens that comes with the camcorder. However, that wide-angle lens is very expensive. One of my favorite camcorders, the Sony PD100 came with a high quality wide-angle lens adapter that screwed onto the front of the zoom. It was great.
You can find wide-angle adapters for many brands and models of camcorder. However, like telephoto adapters, the quality can vary from awful to wonderful. Unfortunately, using a cheap wide-angle lens is worse than using a cheap telephoto lens. Because everything is in focus, a small defect or even a lens smudge can be very obvious.
Even though I am raving about wide-angle lens adapters, remember that you can always use your maximum wide angle setting on your camcorder zoom lens. When I am shooting events and parties for my family, I mostly use my personal camcorder at its maximum wide angle and avoid even touching the zoom lever.
Zoom and The Internet
Internet video does not like zooms. This movement is not easy for video compression to handle and can cause your compression and conversion software to lower quality in order to handle the increased amount of information.
You don't have to zoom live to create an interesting video. In fact, it may be a lot more dramatic and exciting to cut between shots at various zoom lengths. For example, start with a wide shot of a location and then cut to a medium shot that shows your two characters talking. Then cut to a close up of one as they try to make a point. Bam, bam, bam. It is more dramatic and will look better when streamed over the Internet.

How Will IPV6 Change Internet Multimedia Streaming
Communication between networked computers requires a system for providing specific addresses to all attached devices. This allows computers to exchange information with connected devices and guarantees that the correct networked computer will receive the requested information. Providing a guaranteed delivery address alleviates flooding the network with spurious data to ensure the delivery of multimedia data to the correct computer.
Ipv4 is the current Internet Protocol, which was designed in 1981. This protocol uses a 32 bit address system, which provides approximately 4.2 billion unique addresses. The current growth of devices connected to the Internet is rapidly depleting the number of available network addresses. To help conserve network addresses, devices connected to the Internet through routers are treated as part of a sub-network with special addresses. Network address translation is needed to link the router subnets with the primary network connection.
Ipv6 is the next generation Internet Protocol which was formulated in 1996. It uses a 128 bit address system, which will provide a tremendous number of network addresses. ( 2 to the 128th power ) The updated Internet Protocol supports mandatory network security features that include IP encryption and authentication. A new information format for data packets was also designed, which reduces the processing time for header data contained in the packets. Sub-networks for devices attached to routers or network address translation will no longer be required.
The process of encoding or streaming of multimedia will not be affected using the improved Internet Protocol. The primary goal of this improved Internet Protocol is to increase the network address capacity for connected devices and provide enhanced network communication security.
The initial requirement for integration of Ipv6 network support is the adoption and implementation of this new Protocol by all Internet service providers. This will require the firmware upgrade and configuration of all network routers.
The next requirement will be the need for each device connected to the Internet to be made compatible for supporting the improved Internet Protocol. This compatibility will require the modification of the operating system module that supports network communications.
The last requirement is for the multimedia server software to be modified to support this updated Internet Protocol. This will be essential for the delivery of data to the correct network destination.
Users can experiment with this improved Internet Protocol support using one of several free service providers. These providers create network tunnels to specially configured routers that allow computers to interact using the improved Internet Protocol. Users can find a current list of Ipv6 providers using the Google search engine.
The use of Ipv6 will not affect the process of delivering streaming multimedia. It will provide a greater number of network addresses, with incorporated security enhancements. Computers and devices operating behind network routers will not be required to translate addresses from subnets to the primary network. This will speed up data delivery and prevent the need for computer users to configure office or home network routers.

How to Capture Video Into Your Computer
To be able to edit your videos, you need to first capture the video from your camcorder - be it analog or digital - into your computer.
This is where you need a capturing device...and this is especially important if you want to capture analog video into your computer. So what is analog video?
Do you have an Analog camcorder? Do you have video stored on VHS Tapes (used to be quite common until a few years back)? These videos are stored in analog format. So if you want to capture the analog video from VHS tapes, you will need an A/D (analog-to-digital) conversion device to do the transfer to your computer. As the name suggests this device converts video from analog format to digital format.
Once you have the video in digital form on your computer, you can do any sort of processing/editing to it.
What if your video is already in digital format? Almost all the camcorders nowadays are digital and they already record the video in a digital format. If your video is already recorded in digital format, then your computer will need to have a Firewire card to be able to transfer the video to your computer.
You may have already heard of USB for transferring data, but if you have not heard of Firewire, just remember it gives you extremely fast transfer speeds, much faster than USB.
So just remember, if it is Digital video, you will need Firewire to capture it...if it is Analog video, you will need an analog-to-digital conversion device to capture it.

Online Video Directory Websites
If you are looking for some of the funniest videos available online - you might want to try a videos directory. These directories will "direct" you to all the best video clips available online. You literally can find any video you could or would possibly want. Some of the categories included for the video lips are things like; funny videos, home videos, music, news, politics, sports, television and even TV commercials!
These websites are unique in the fact that they are video sharing websites. And they aren't like YouTube! A lot of people like YT, but I am not one of these people! Instead, I look for sites such as this that will have different videos from websites all over the Internet in one stop. In fact, I like to call these "one stop shops" because all the videos that you need are right HERE!
Why go to a million different sites when you could just go to one and find everything you need?!? You wouldn't! Make it easy on yourself! These sites are really fun and fun-ny. I found a few really crazy videos that either shocked me or made me laugh hysterically! Let's check out a few excerpts from a few of these video clips!
Sports -
This is video collection of funny sports accidents (meanwhile, some clippings are no laughing matter as people were hurt in the accident). One of the most notable scenes in this video is when a woman was running in the middle of the field and was trampled by football players.
This happened when she went in front of a large poster where behind this were men, ready to break the paper and run across the field. It was really a very unfortunate event because it seems that no one told the woman not to run in front of the poster. Another notable scene happened during a football match. As the players were running across the field, they accidentally hit the cheerleaders who were doing some pyramid style formation.
Politics -
Recently, President Barack Obama guest on Jay Leno's show which is the first time in history when an incumbent head of state has been interviewed in this talk show. With this unprecedented event, many people waited for hours in line just to be part of the audience on the Tonight Show. Meanwhile, some people were offended by Obama's remark.
He said that he scored a lot only in basketball when he joins Special Olympics. After realizing that he made an offensive comment, the President recently apologized for what he said. Because this is the first time that a president was in a comedy talk program, the Tonight Show has one of the highest viewers in all-time history.
News -
The international community recently celebrated the World Water Day with a theme called Transboundary Water: Sharing Water, Sharing Opportunities. Spearheaded by United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), this celebration aims to spread knowledge about the present situation of water sources which are continuously deteriorating.
According to some analysts including doomsayers water will someday become the main reason for war, instead of oil. While it may sound scary, the probability of this event is higher since people have already polluted many water sources in the world. Meanwhile, this is a video that will show how important is the water in people's lives.
Funny -
Probably the most heart-breaking for anyone is to have his/her wedding spoiled by an accident. This video compilation is about weddings which had gone wrong. Some of these are very funny, while some clips are no laughing matter especially for both the bride and groom. Probably, the most embarrassing clip from this video compilation is about a bride whose wedding dress was torn from below, exposing her underwear in front of the huge crowd.
(I wonder how embarrassing she felt when her wedding dress was accidentally torn during the matrimonial ceremony).
Another remarkable video clip is about a man who hit the ceiling after the crowd has accidentally thrown him high up in the air. Just watch the video compilation and be mortified by some wedding accidents and tragedy which had definitely ruined this special event for both the bride and groom.
You know what they say - you can burn well over 20 calories JUST from laughing and 10 from smiling. So not only are these awesome in the fact that they give you something to do, but they can also make you lose weight? Okay maybe not lose weight but still! Are interested in sports? Politics? World news? Crazy celebrities doing stupid stuff?
Then, these sites are definitely up your alley! Check them out the next time you are having a crazy day at work or you feel like having a good old laugh! I guarantee these video clips will make you feel SO much better!

How to Share Video With Others?
Once you are happy with the editing work on the captured video, you need to export it to a format which can then be viewed by people. The format that you export to should be easily accessed by people and it should also run on different mediums.
The easiest way to export your video is through your editing software itself. All of them have the feature to export your final video in various formats. You can choose out of have various options depending on whether you want to see your video on DVD, VCD, Media Player, Portable payer or the Internet.
DVDs, Media Players, Portable payers and the Internet are the most common medium for viewing videos and most of the editing software programs have options to support the relevant formats to view on these mediums.
In general, you need to strike a balance between the video resolution/quality and the size of the video file. This is particularly important if you want to view the videos on the Internet.
If you want to view your videos on the internet, you will have to make the file size of the video smaller. It needs to be small enough to be easily downloadable. Most of the smaller videos, those that are 1-2 min in duration, are usually around 3-5 MB in size.
If you reduce the file size of the video, it may result in some loss of quality, but then viewers on the internet do not mind watching a slightly lower quality video, provided they are able to view the video quickly. If it is going to take a lot of time for the video to download, then people will just not watch it.
Making all these changes to the file size, or choosing various export options, can easily be done using a good video editing software program.

Cut Off Expenses by Converting to Digital
A lot of people do not find file transfer to digital as an appealing option to improve their methods of safe keeping. They think that converting files to digital would require them to spend a lot of money in the conversion itself and they think that the really do not need it anyway. Those notions are entirely not true, because by transferring files to digital, may it be photos, videos or any other form of documents, you get to save more.
1. Save on storage space
You will continuously accumulate files - pictures, videos and documents. And this will also lead you to expanding your storage space and giving more room to your files. You will buy file cabinets, more boxes, albums and the likes. But once you have your files in digital, you do not need to put them in these bulky containers. In fact, you won't need any of them anymore. All you need is a device where you could save the files and enough back up files for them. Total the amount of money you spend on cabinets, albums, file cabinets and room expansions and compare that one with what you are going to spend when you will have your files converted to digital.
2. Save on file transfer expenses
How do we usually send pictures, videos and documents to people the old school way? We send them through mail, packages, etc. How long do they usually take? The fastest I know is a day or two - and they put an extra charge on express. The longest, it depends, and there is even a risk that your file could be lost somewhere for whatever conceivable reason there is. How much does it cost to send a package? It depends. The heavier and bulkier, the more expensive it is. What if you intend to share an album of memories of your 65 year old grad mother? Imagine how big would that file be? Then, because you wanted to save, you would not be able to send all the pictures - you just pick enough pictures that would fit your budget for sending a package. Imagine how many pictures you would miss to send. But once your files are already in digital and you already have an Internet connection, you can already send all the pictures they want including videos and even important documents, cutting the cost to zero!
Yes, the conversion process might be expensive - you need to buy your own equipment that would convert the files to digital or you will have a digital converting company to manage your files. However, think of its effect in the long run. You won't worry about having to find a bigger room to keep all of your boxes and cabinets. You do not have to buy file cabinets, albums and boxes anymore when you have new pictures, videos or documents. All you need to have is the saving device of your choice (cd, dvd, usb, hard disk, among others) and enough memory space in them to save all of the files you have and will have in the future.
Brandon Barchus, an attorney, knows how important efficient and quality safekeeping is when it comes to photos, videos and documents. He has helped companies sort out legal documents in a more efficient way by transferring files to digital. This has cut the whole finding and organizing time-consuming process into a matter of minutes. Aside from legal documents, he also transfers photos to digital and videos, too.

Why You Need Videos on Your Site
Video has always been a popular method of communication with audiences - the sizes of cinema and television audiences are a demonstration of this appeal. A truth that all of us know is that it's much easier to consume the visual image than to read something. The visual impact created by videos can often be creatively used to reach out and capture the imagination of a wide audience.
Why is video a good option?
• Watching existing clients endorsing your product gives a much stronger message than seeing an endorsement in print.
• Things that don't yet exist can be brought to life, whether this is a product or a new initiative.
• A new practice can be illustrated by 'seeing it happen', and so can become more credible.
• Video's use of real people, animation and music are valuable when motivation is a key ingredient in your message.
Video is best for the communication of a simple, persuasive message. We can feel an emotional connection more readily with video's moving images and sound than other communication mediums - to an audience it is the closest medium to reality.
Streaming videos over web pages has caught on with an increase in the available bandwidth and connection speeds in the last couple of years. Often a good video associated with a good product could double or even triple the 'saleability' of the product. Take for example, the fashion industry, often endorsed by the big names from television and the silver screen. The visual impact associated with Naomi Campbell walking down a ramp wearing the latest spring design is much greater than a two dimensional photograph which often lacks the dynamism of a video.
Due to its nature, video can be very versatile in the style and tone used to convey different messages. The video itself can be powerful, with iconic images cut to compelling music, to set the tone of an event or product, or it can adopt a contemporary documentary style to provide account of a practise or initiative.
The impact created by the video not only depends on the quality of the created video, but the final quality of output that reaches the viewing audience through streaming off web pages. A good video backed up by a poor video player is often a let down and fails to create the impact that it would have managed had the support player been capable of producing good quality, yet fast and efficient streaming of online videos. A good video, bundled with the right support material will definitely prove to be one of the most effective ways of reaching out to a worldwide audience 24x7.
For any kind of site that you run, good videos are almost imperative. Agriya Infoway, a Chennai based web development company sells a range of user friendly FLV Players. Visit agriya flv player for more details.

Watch Videos Faster and Increase Your Productivity With Enounce
This productivity tip can save you hundreds of hours per year if you watch a lot of online videos.
Would you like to be able to speed up YouTube and other online videos and presentations, without having the presenters sounds like chipmunks? Imagine being able to watch videos in half the time. What if you could control the playback speed of recorded teleseminars and other audio files? Or maybe you just want to be able to watch movies in less time.
If any of these things interest you, then check out MySpeed by Enounce. It allows you to change the playback speed for internet videos! So you can watch more video in less time.
I use it to save time when note taking and transcribing educational and training videos. Sometimes I slow down the recording if I'm taking detailed notes, but most times I speed up the recording to get to the important sections and then pause to write notes. And if you are watching videos with ads, now you can speed up the playback to zip through the annoying ads. It's almost as good as Tivo, if you can imagine that.
Just add the MySpeed plug-in to your browser and a handy speed slider appears when you start a video. I'm typically able to watch videos at 1.5-2.0 speed and save tens of hours every month with this tool. Don't just take my word for it. A 30 day trial version is available so you can try it risk free and see for yourself. And if you're a student, you can get a 50% discount.
What if you listen to audio files and want to speed them up. Enounce only handles video files, but the maker of Enounce has a plug-in for RealPlayer and Media Player called 2xAV. It works just like Enounce and provides variable speed playback with natural sounding audio. It works for local files and also files streamed from the internet.
These 2 tools are saving me hours every week and allowing me to be more efficient. Give them a try and increase your productivity. And now I would like to invite you to claim your Free Access to "15 Ways To Grow Your Business Online". What You Need to Upload Videos to Your Website
There are many ways of upgrading your website to make it entertaining as well as educational. If you want visitors to come in droves and generate you income upgrading is the least you can do. There are hundreds if not thousands of websites similar to yours in the same market niche. In order to stand out, you have to not only have a great product but also a kicking site. Video streaming is the best widget to have because of its tremendous power to attract visitors. If you've ever visited YouTube, that's the reason why. To embed or upload videos to your website, you need to have few necessities.
First, you need the right tools that would enable you to upload videos to your website. An HTML editor is a must in order to embed the videos and FTP software to upload your webpage to the internet. These aren't really that hard to find online and you can get them for free if you look hard enough. However, if you want more capabilities than what is offered by the freeware programs just purchase one. Even with a limited budget you can still upload videos without going bankrupt. Once you have the tools, the second thing you need is the video of course.
You have two options-you can either create a video yourself which means filming, editing, and finalizing it yourself, or use someone else's (with permission of course). Don't ever upload videos that are not yours. If you opt to make your own, it's really not as hard as you may think. Just because it's a video doesn't necessarily mean you need a video camera-what I mean is you can start off by simply showing a power-point presentation on your computer as a video. There are programs that would take a video shot of whatever it is that is happening on your computer screen.
With a microphone set-up you can even do voice over. If you want to try it out and wouldn't mind a video limited to 5 minutes try the Jing Project at www.jingproject.com. It's free. Then you can create and upload videos quickly. Just bring your creativity with you. But if you have the equipment, then go create the best that you can. Just make sure that the end product is not only relevant to your niche, but also to your audience. In other words, don't upload videos that are irrelevant. Make it short and sweet but more importantly make the video fresh and unique.
And don't try to copy others; your motto is: originality is who you are. Remember you are selling yourself here. At the same time it will prevent other video makers from filling your inbox with nasty lawsuits and such. Thirdly, a little technical knowledge helps you upload videos with ease, especially if you're doing it on your own. If something goes wrong you need to at least be able to understand and do basic troubleshooting. If you need help the World Wide Web is your friend. There are people out there who have done what you're doing and will be glad to help.
If you look for them they will come. Lastly, just have the diligence, the patience and the determination to finish everything you have planned. These three virtues are important to help you make your video streaming project a success. You will not get it right the first time, and not even on the second. Failures and glitches will always be there, especially since you're just a newbie. It's a natural progression which all of us will experience. Before long you'll be cranking out videos like a pro. So if your website looks empty, upload videos. As the saying goes: Just Do It.

Find the program you want and download it to your computer. Make sure that you have enough space on the computer and that your CPU is fast enough. Conversion is quite energy consuming task and can freeze your computer if you do not have enough RAM or disk space. Follow the instructions to install and set it up. Open the program and load the video you want to convert. You choose the video file by clicking on the Browse button and selecting the file you want.
Some conversion programs will allow you to make a testing conversion first in order to determine the specs of the output file. Try playing with settings a little, in order to ensure the best possible quality and specs. The parameters should allow you to maintain the same video and audio quality. Press the button 'Convert' and wait for your new file to appear. Once it is generated, check it and you are done!

Video conversion permits you to convert the video file from one format to another, compatible with the media player you have. The easiest way to do so, is to check one of the available conversion programs online and check which one can do the job fast and accurately, preserving the quality of video and sound of the original file.
The first thing you will need is a normal PC computer and an internet connection. Go online and check the available conversion programs. 8 Things to Consider When Choosing a CDN
When choosing to buy CDN service there are a lot of factors which go it to play. Obviously, you want the best service for the best price. Use the following as guide to help you when interviewing CDN service providers.
1. Bandwidth needs
What are your bandwidth needs? Are you going to use 50GB/month or 50TB/month? CDNs charge by GB transferred (in most cases). If you're only delivering a small amount of traffic, it may not be necessary to purchase CDN service. You might be able to get away with upping your current web host provider from a shared environment to a dedicated environment. Maybe it's time to move to a business class web host, instead of that $5/month provider you're using now.
It doesn't make sense to pay a Tier 1 CDN thousands of dollars a year to deliver 4 videos. If you're having so much problems with your video or software downloads, then look at the root cause and fix it!
When you are delivering about 500GB/month it starts to make sense to off load that heavy lifting to a CDN. By now, you are getting several thousand requests per month or even per second and your single web server in 1 data center won't be able to keep up with the traffic.
Certainly when you are doing over 1TB/month of static content delivery, you should use a CDN. This will ensure your videos, podcasts, music, images, documents, and software downloads are getting to your customers quickly and efficiently.
2. Network Performance
All CDNs big and small say they have the best network! There are basically 3 kinds of CDNs: Internet based, Peering/Private based, and Peer to Peer (P2P).
About the only Internet based CDN is Akamai. Akamai has thousands of servers all over the place. Then using some fancy algorithms, they route traffic from 1 PoP to the next getting your content onto the backbone of what ever ISP your end user is on. They then cache the content in that closest PoP so the next person in that region/ISP has the content already close to them. Obviously, this method works as Akamai is the biggest CDN on the globe and boasts the most customers.
A peering/private CDN is one who puts servers in regionalized PoPs around the world. Then in those PoPs they peer with, or directly connect with as many ISPs and backbones as they can. Then when someone requests a piece of content, the file is delivered directly from the CDN to the end user network and is able to by-pass the Internet all together, in most cases. Most other CDNs use this model. Limelight Networks is the most successful in this configuration. They have a private fiber backbone as well to move content from Origin Server to PoP. Other CDNs who follow this model are Panther, EdgeCast, Level3, CDNetworks, and others.
Finally, the idea of P2P is intriguing. Simply have all content viewers act as a PoP and replicate the content around the globe. There's little or no infrastructure cost and theoretically you can get your content on to any ISP in the world. P2P has it's place, but as a means to deliver mission critical and revenue generating content, this method should be avoided.
As a side note, there are Hybrid CDNs who employ P2P and Peering/Private methods. These are intriguing, however for secure delivery, using a P2P is less desirable as your content will end up on hundreds to thousands of individual computers with little or no control over who gets access to it.
3. Technology
Does your CDN support the technology you require? All CDNs will deliver content via HTTP Progressive download. But does your CDN support true Flash Streaming (RTMP), true Windows Media Streaming (MMS, RTSP), Quicktime or Real Media streaming? What about Flash Live or Windows Media Live? Can they do MP3 Live? Do they have a Token Based Authentication secure URL product? Can they do pseudo-Flash streaming? Do they have any special services for HD delivery? What about a mobile CDN platform? Is it easy to get content to the CDN?
Finally, what about their analytics? Do they offer quality analytics? Is it easy to use? Does it show number of request per object? Is there a content management piece? Do they offer Geo-Reporting? Can you get raw logs?
4. Other products and services
What else can your CDN of choice do for you? Do they have a professional services department? Can they help with monetization? Do they offer encoding/transcoding? What about digital rights management (DRM)? Do they offer a live event monitoring service? Is there a content management system or digital asset management system available? Does your service include embeddable media players? Can they cache whole web sites? Do they support e-Commerce or shopping carts?
5. Support What kind of support can your CDN offer?
Ask for the number of the helpdesk and call it. How quickly did they answer? Did you get a person or just voice mail? Is there email support available? Do you have access to technical personnel during the integration phase? Who do you call if you have a question about your bill? Does your CDN even offer support? What happens if you call in the off hours? What does their Service Level Agreement look like? Most CDNs offer a 100% SLA, but what does that really mean and how do you get credit if they don't meet their SLA?
6. Contracts Does your CDN require an annual contract?
Do they offer a month-to-month contract? Are they asking you to commit to a minimum amount of money per month whether or not you use that much? What happens if you go over your commit, how much is that going to cost you? Can you pay with a credit card? Do you have to pay with a credit card?
7. Longevity
How long has your CDN been in business? Are they funded by venture capital? Do they have huge amounts of outstanding debt? Are they facing an uncertain law suite by a competitor? How much cash do they have in the bank? Over the past 12 months there have been some major moves in the CDN industry. There have been a number of players who have all but disappeared. There have been some acquisitions and mergers, and some major players are bleeding cash so much that they may not be around in the next 12 months. Be careful about putting content on an iffy CDN. Research them independently and see if they have had any major complaints or severe outages.
8. Cost Notice cost is at the bottom of the list?
his is because cost should not be your number one concern. You will find huge differences in cost from CDN to CDN. Expect to pay anywhere from a few cents per GB up to over $1 per GB. There are a number of factors that will dictate what you pay. Don't expect to get the same pricing that a big boy like Netflix will get when you are passing 200GB/month. Your price will be based on how much traffic you pass. The more you pass, the cheaper the price will be. Also, most of the other items mentioned above will factor in your cost.
If the CDN you decide to go with is too expensive or is asking for more of a commit than you want. Ask them if they have resellers you can go through. Usually these resellers can offer better terms. You may pay more per GB than going straight with the CDN, but you might only pay for what you use. Also beware that going with a reseller may limit you to support from that reseller. You might not be able to call up the CDN directly for support. You may also only get basic reporting with a reseller instead of the full blow analytics package offered by the CDN.
Conclusion
Consider all these factors when deciding which CDN to go with. The biggest factor is how much traffic are you going to pass. You may have fun driving that Lexus, but you can still get to work in your Toyota. Choose a CDN that meets your needs and fits your budget.

The Difference Between HTTP Progressive Download and True Streaming
The online video delivery experience
When delivering online videos there are generally two distinct ways to do it. HTTP Progressive Download or Streaming. You may assume that all videos are streaming, but you'll be surprised to know that most aren't.
So what are these two methods? How do they differ? What are the advantages and disadvantages of both? Why would I want to use one method over another?
Progressive Download
All web servers are capable of progressive download. This is merely the method of a video file being delivered via HTTP to a browser. This is similar to someone downloading a file from your website. In fact the video is delivered in the same manner that an image, a CSS, a JS, PDF, or any other file on your web site is.
The real difference is that media players can begin to show the video while it's downloading. For example, a FLV file being delivered via HTTP Progressive download will begin to play in your Flash Player as soon as a little bit of data is received by the browser. The same is true for Windows Media files. Quick Time will wait until the entire file is downloaded before it plays, unless the QuickTime player on the PC/Mac is set for progressive play. So be careful when posting QuickTime videos.
It's quite obvious when a video is being delivered via HTTP Progressive Download. You will typically see the little status bar grow as the video downloads. You won't be able to move the scrubber button past the amount that has downloaded already. This makes it impossible to jump to the end of the video before that portion has downloaded. If you have a slow web server or limited bandwidth or the end user is on a slow Internet connection, then it's possible for the end user to notice buffering.
Buffering occurs when the download can't stay ahead of video. The video will stop while it downloads more. If you pause the video and it allow to download a large portion, then you can watch the video uninterrupted. In either case, this is a poor end user experience, this is when you would consider using a CDN.
There is a technology called Psuedo or Seek streaming. This method utilized TCP/IP Range Requests to allow the user to jump to any portion of the video and the player will make a range request of the file to download that portion. This method is usually only for FLV videos and requires special services, or servers and custom Flash players to function.
When a video is delivered via HTTP, it is actually downloaded to the end users computer. This is good and bad. It's good because if the person watches the video again, it's already cached on their computer. It's bad because it makes it extremely easy for someone to steal your content.
Finally, if someone only watches the first minute of your video but doesn't stop the download, the browser will download the whole file and you will pay for the delivery of the file even though the person didn't watch the whole thing.
Streaming Video
Streaming video requires access to a streaming media server. Some servers are Flash Media Server, Wowza Media Server, Windows Media Server, Darwin Media Server (QuickTime), Real Media Server. These servers usually require licensing and may cost several thousands of dollars.
Some well known streaming protocols are RTMP, RTSP, and MMS.
When a video streams, it is being sent via UDP protocol to a player on the end users compter. The user will have the ability to fast forward or rewind the video. The video isn't being downloaded to the end users computer so it is less likely that the content will be stolen. Also if the user only watches 5 minutes of a 30 minute video, then you only pay for the delivery of 5 minutes, not the whole video.
The biggest disadvantage of streaming over progressive download is if the user watches the same video over and over you will pay for the delivery of it each time. Videos are also streamed at what ever bit rate they are encoded at. Keep this in mind when creating HD quality video. 8Mbps video may sound and look great, but most homes can't sustain an 8Mbps connection. If you have really high bit rate video, consider delivering via HTTP.
Most web hosting providers or Content Delivery Networks (CDN) will have streaming media servers available to use. Historically, Flash video was more expensive to deliver than other forms. Recently prices have compressed and you will find that it costs about the same to deliver Flash or Windows Media files. In the past I would have said if your video is more than 10 minutes in length deliver it via Stream and less do progressive. Since prices have come down, I would consider streaming for any length video since streaming typically begins to play faster than progressive.
If you are looking at using a service such as a CDN or Cloud Computing and they say you can stream your videos, confirm with their tech support that they are utilizing a streaming server and not just offering bandwidth.
If you are delivering Flash videos, then you should be delivering via RTMP or RTMPE protocol for streaming and http for progressive. Windows Media uses either MMS or RTSP. Quicktime and Real Media use RTSP.
I hope you find this article of interest? This is a good guide to help you through deciding to use streaming delivery of videos or HTTP Progressive Download.

Video Encoding De-Mystified
What's an Encoder?
When you want to put video up on a web page, the video must be in a particular format. The procedure of getting the video in that format is called encoding. This article will examine the major video formats and encoders that are used to make those formats. The article will also look at live video encoding. Finally, we'll look at a couple of free services on the web that will do encoding both on-demand and live.
Flash Video
On of the more popular formats on the web today is Flash video. The file extension of .FLV is associated with Flash video. Most cameras, camcorders, and video editing suites don't output .FLV files natively. When making a choice to use an encoding software package consider what you get for the price. Adobe includes the Flash Video Encoder with CS3/CS4, it's essentially free. It does a good job, but you are limited with options when using that encoder. Consider some other commercial software encoders. Look at Sorenson Squeeze, On2Flix Pro, and for the real professional, try Rhozet Carbon Coder). All of these packages offer greater flexibility and control of your media. The above mentioned packages also support outputting many other formats like AVI, MOV, WMV, and others. There are also countless shareware, independent, and free services available to encode video. These products will be fine for low resolution, low bit rate videos, but will have many limitations. For commercial web sites, I wouldn't recommend using any of these simple products.
If you're looking for an easy to use encoding solution, that won't break the bank, try "Encoding Dot Com" I've spoken to the CTO of this company. He tells me this service uses different backend technologies to handle different types of encoding jobs. So depending on formats, you will have access to high end encoding technology. The service is easy to use. You can either upload your video to them, or they can come to you to get it. Either way, you get a quality product without having to shell out a lot of upfront capital.
H.264
H.264 is a codec, not exactly a format. It's basically MPEG-4. So you will find many different formats that have H.264 encoded. You will find H.264 wrapped around .MOV, F4V, and even MP4 files. H.264 is a compression method which usually yields higher quality video at lower bit rates. Most people today are associating H.264 with HD video. This is for good reason since I can get better looking video in a smaller file. H.264 does have it's disadvantages; it requires more computing power for encoding and de-coding and may not be as compatible as other formats. I wouldn't let that stop you from experimenting with it however.
Windows Media Video
WMV has been around awhile. Some argue it's a superior format over Flash. About a year or so ago, I would have agreed. WMV was more stable and could give you great picture quality. Microsoft supports the VC-1 Codec in WMV. VC-1 was the codec used in the HD-DVD format, thus you can expect great things out of WMV with VC-1 encoding. The biggest disadvantage of WMV over Flash is compatibility. You will be hard pressed to find a MAC or Linux box out of the gate which supports WMV video. Also, Flash allows you to make custom players to present your video in and WMV uses the Windows Media Player.
To combat these shortfalls, Microsoft has developed Silverlight. Silverlight is a platform independent product that allows you to create custom player applications. It also runs on MAC and Linux and will support playing of WMV files on those OS's. See www.microsoft.com/silverlight , Microsoft may soon support H.264 encoded video in a Silverlight environment.
MS-Expressions Encoder
Just for your piece of mind, the 2008 Olympics were delivered in Silverlight. See www.nbcolympics.com Many will agree that the 2008 Games went off without a hitch. You can see that even though Silverlight is a newer format, it is road tested by over 70Million streams!
Hardware Encoding
Software is good, hardware is GREAT! When you want the best possible encoding with the least amount of hassles, consider a hardware encoding device. These devices are critical when you are talking about live encoding.
See these companies:
Vbrick, Digital Rapids, Newtek, Viewcast, Ripcode
These all compete in about the same space. You should compare features and prices. I can tell you that Digital Rapids is very prominent in the space. They supply encoding hardware for some of largest names in media and have powered some of the biggest online events ever. The RipCode device is unique since it will do On-the-fly encoding. So your video can change bit-rates, deminsions, or formats as needed. You would only need to have 1 master file and let the RipCode device change it for you as needed.
Live Encoding
Digital Rapids Touch Stream Appliance
If you plan to deliver Live video to more than a few viewers at a time you need to consider using a CDN. Think about your Internet connection in your office or studio. If you have have a 3Mbps up stream and you encode at about 500Kbps, then you will only really be able to support about 6 simultaneous viewers. Not exactly record breaking! Most CDNs that support live streaming can support hundreds to thousands of simultaneous viewers. The 2009 Inauguration of President Obamma drew about 6-9Million viewers online. For Flash Live Encoding you can use the Flash Live Encoder from Adobe and a high end computer. This product is ok for most consumer applications. You are really limited to the horsepower of your computer. There is no Mac version available so you must be on a Windows machine. A better option for Flash Live Encoding is the On2Flix Live encoding software or the Sorenson Squeeze Live product. Both of these will offer higher quality video and more flexibility. You are still at the mercy of your computer. So I suggest you get the biggest, baddest computer you can when using a software live encoder. Throw as much CPU, RAM, and Video Memory at it as possible. Use a SATA or Firewire harddrive which runs at least at 7200RMP.
You also need to consider how you connect your camera source to the computer. Don't use a simple off the shelf Web Camera or an analog to USB device. These are ok for home movies, but for professional videos you should look at a Prosumer HD Video Camera or a high end encoding capture card like the Viewcast cards.
Ripcode Encoder
For a hardware live encoding solution, look at the Digital Rapids, Vbrick, or Newtek products. Digital Rapids has a cool new product called the TouchStream Appliance. It's a portable standalone hardware encoder perfect for field productions
Free Encoding
There are several services out there that will convert videos for free. Do a Google search for "Free Encoding" or "convert to FLV" or "convert to WMV". You can also download the Microsoft Video encoder and convert to WMV yourself. Most video editing packages will export to WMV, MOV, and MPG formats.
Free Live Encoding
To encode live there are only a few options for free.
* Flash Media Live Encoder
* Windows Media Encoder
* For Silverlight Encoding, try the replacement to the Windows Media Encoder is Expression
Try it yourself
If you'd like to put on a live webcast, try these free services. They allow you to create your own channel, store and play on demand and live video. They're really cool!

The networks broadcasting those streams used a CDN.
